General Info: ~Please go to the following link to access information about the PowerSchool Parent Portal
~PowerSchool will be updated a minimum of once per week.
~All assignments are titled as follows: the Unit number, followed by a letter, followed by the category it falls in on the checklist (example- 1A, 1B, 1C, etc-for exact assignment names, please look at the checklist posted in each Unit or in student's notebook)
~Any blank spaces for assignments in PS mean one of two things: 1. The student hasn't gotten to that assignment yet or 2. I have not yet entered that mark or score (remember, PS is updated at minimum, once per week, so please encourage your adolescent to reach out if you have specific questions, and cc you on the email).
Understanding the Symbols in PS:
1. All HW Video Lessons (see student checklists by clicking on 'checklist' in any Unit posted) are 0/0 points and show up in PS as a green check-mark, an 'incomplete' or a 0. Even though these assignments do not initially impact a student's grade, it DOES in the long-run. Any incomplete Lessons will be required to be completed at a time other than in class.
2. All Explore works (see student checklists by clicking on 'checklist' in any Unit posted) are 0/0 points and show up in PS as a green check-mark, an 'incomplete' or a 0. If a student receives a green check-mark, it means they mastered the work, an 'incomplete' means they are making modifications, and a 0 means they didn't complete the assignment. All Explore works are checked with a control, when applicable.
3. All Expand works are an Informal percentage in PS and are graded for accuracy.
4. All Extend works are a Formal percentage in PS (these may be the Cycle Projects).
5. Unit Psycho Blurbs: This is an Informal percentage in PS as ___#cards completed/#cards.
6. Unit Study Guide: This is an Informal percentage in PS (completion based).
7. Unit FRQ Practice: These are 0/0 points and show up in PS as a green check-mark, an 'incomplete' or a 0.
8. Personal Progress Checks: These are 0/0 points and show up in PS as a green check-mark, an 'incomplete' or a 0. These are released by the College Board and are used for reflection only.
9. Unit Assessments: These will show up as a Formal percentage in PS.
10. Unit Textbook Readings: These are 0/0 points and show up in PS as a green check-mark, an 'incomplete' or a 0.
